Oh, how adorable. As well as being computer literate and cute as a button, Sophie has a great name. Don't you just love having grands? (I'm assuming she's a grandchild)
Tell me about your Continentals connections. It's fun having things in common!
Icould use a little help from Sophie right now. A while back my computer breathed its last and had to be replaced. Supposedly nothing was lost but not everything was reinstalled, either. Today I went to email you through your site but my computer says I don't have the program to do that! What!! Of course I have email and I don't know what the problem is. I will add this to the list for Tech Guy =)
I was going to tell you that my first date was to the YFC rally one night when the Continentals were singing. Going to the rallies at Benson HS auditorium in Portland was a big deal on Saturday nights. People from all ages and church denominations came, as well as non-church goers. I think it was a formative part of my life. (I didn't keep dating that guy, however. No regrets!) There is nothing like the rallies going on anymore. Once a year or so there is a Women of Faith Conference, but I can't think of anything else. It's a different time...

How cute is that? What a little dolly. To answer your question: Yes, that slough water smelled a bit like sewer, with the rotting vegetation.
