Outdoor Wednesday - Old Barn

I have not seen this barn since my childhood days. Imagine my delight when an old friend included this pic with a note to me.

I remember well those days of riding a horse across those fields, or, in the winter, playing basketball in the old barn.

I can still see their faces as we bounced the ball, ran the length of the barn and played hard until time to go to the kitchen and have 'Tacos' for the very first time. Some of those friends are gone now, and most I have seen only once or twice since high school.

Those of you who had to leave your small home-towns to find work, know what I mean.

Was such a nice surprise. It is a really good photograph, even without memories attached.

I remember when Papa's barn just fell over (several years after he sold the family farm), it was so upsetting to see it that way. My uncle still won't drive by the old home place, and he is the one that still lives in that town.
