Sometimes I like to close my eyes and see only this instead of all the details. I have always been amazed when people could take a photo like the above, and I do not even know how I did it!
Mona, when I try to get this effect by keeping my flash off, I can not succeed. However, I always thought that was the way to do it. I found this in the middle of several fast clicks ... I guess magic happened!
It's called bokeh, which is Japanese for "out of focus". Many photographers do this too.. It's very pretty when it happens. My oldest is a photographer enthusiast and has done bokeh with shapes.
